San Diego not only has a world class zoo, but also a world-class botanical garden with more than 700,000 plants in collections and gardens throughout 100 acres. Found on the Horn & Hoof Mesa are aloes, acacias and euphorbias, cycads, the African pear, elephant foot trees, birds-of-paradise, and more. The plants also provide animals, such as the gorillas, a variety of browse to snack on and play with.
