Known also as the DuPont Gardens, Longwood is approximately 30 miles southwest of Philadelphia. It offers 1,050 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows, including 350 acres of display gardens: 20 outdoor garden, 20 indoor gardens within four acres of heated greenhouses; 11,000 different plant types; aquatic fountain, as well as sites for performing arts, education, research and conservation programs. The garden's newly redesigned half-acre East Conservatory features Mediterranean and subtropical-climate flora, including the Patio of Oranges; the Court of Bamboo; and the Court of Palms.
