

Located in the Ozarks Mountains , this beautiful Botanical Center is a work-in-progress; over 110 acres are under development with 21 of 45 gardens completed. The LEED "green" Botanical Center building is scheduled to open in 2010. The Botanical Center is situated between the 59-acre Nathanael Greene Park and the 55-acre Close Memorial Park , which share a common entrance. Some gardens currently for viewing include: Rose Garden; Hosta Garden with 400 varieties and waterfall feature; Butterfly Garden with the Bill Roston Native Butterfly House; Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden; English Garden; Wildflower Garden; Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden; Iris, Lily and Daylily Gardens; Ornamental Grass Garden and the White Garden - inspired by Vita Sackville-West's garden at Sissinghurst Castle.
