First-generation Dutch immigrant Edward W. Bok created Historic Bok Sanctuary as his gift to the American people. The gardens of the 245-acre Sanctuary were designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr.. The garden’s focal point is the Singing Tower, a 205-foot Gothic and art deco Carillon Tower which houses the world-famous 60-bell carillon. Also located on the grounds is a Mediterranean Revival mansion called Pinewood Estate.
