Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Northwestern University’s Shakespeare Garden, designed by landscape architect Jens Jensen, can be found on its Evanston campus. The 70- by-100-foot garden features flowers, herbs, and plants mentioned in the Bard’s plays. It was established in 1915 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Shakespeare's death and is supported by the Garden Club of Evanston.
