In 1955 Arnold Haskell (1895-1977) bought the Norman's Nursery, located at the corner of Dahlia Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, for his office. He began landscaping the property and eventually envisioned the site becoming a beautiful public garden. His vision came true and he named the 2.2 acre garden after his mentor and benefactor, M.H. Sherman (1853-1932). This beautiful gem features botanical collections ranging from desert plants to exotic tropicals. Gardens include: Cactus and Succulent Garden; Tropical Conservatory with orchids, heliconias and gingers; koi pond; Rose Garden; Fern Grotto exhibits, with several forty-year-old hanging staghorn ferns; Japanese Garden with a bo tree, considered sacred by Hindus and Buddhists; and a Herb Garden.Hours: 10:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. daily.Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's day.2647 East Pacific Coast HighwayCorona del Mar, California 92625
