November 23, 2008 – January 11, 2009. For the 17th year, a Christmas dream comes true: 16 model trains, trolleys and streetcars, including the Union Pacific, New York Central and Great Northern Railway, chug along 1,000 feet of track, past 140 scaled replicas of New York landmarks including the Empire State Building, Little Red Lighthouse, Brooklyn Bridge, and Yankee Stadium. New this year: Rose Center for Earth and Space, home of tHayden Planetarium, Manhattan plus four replicas in New York City’s Historic House Trust: Hendrick Lott House, Brooklyn; Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater, Manhattan; Old Stone House, Brooklyn; Merchant’s House Museum, Manhattan All replicas created by Paul Busse and Applied Imagination.
