The GPC Native Plant Garden, situated in a flood plain near a tributary of the South River creek, is on 4 acres of land with approximately ¾ mile of easy walking trails. There are over 4000 species of native, rare, and endangered plants indigenous to the Southeast. Also featured in the Garden is the new Ferns of the World exhibit. Both sun loving and shade loving plants can be seen growing in the Garden. The Garden has bog plants, native trees, shrubs, vines, ferns, and perennial plants. The impressive Fern collection is the 13th. largest in United States and is one of the top 40 collections in the world.
