Biltmores Festival of Flowers

April 4-May 17, 2009 The Biltmore's 24th Annual Festival of Flowers showcases the beauty of George Vanderbilt's 8,000-acre estate. Now in their 119th year, Biltmore's gardens original design was the final project of Frederick Law Olmsted, father of American landscape architecture. View the Walled Garden, with tulips, Iceland poppies, snapdragons and foxglove, the formal Italian Garden, All America Rose Garden with more than 250 varieties, the 20-acre azalea garden and native and exotic blooms in the natural gardens and walking trails. The Biltmore believes to have America's first managed forests.Photo:Copyright 2007 The Biltmore Company, all rights reserved. [ info ]
